Vestibular Rehabilitation for Dizziness

by Berkeley Wellness

If you suffer from dizziness, you should be evaluated by a health care professional who, depending on the diagnosis, may recommend a vestibular rehabilitation program. Such programs help retrain your body to properly process balance information via exercises mostly involving your eyes and head.

One free internet-based vestibular rehabilitation program was developed by researchers from the University of Southampton in England. In a recent study in the Annals of Family Medicine, the program helped 40 percent of 296 people who had chronic dizziness that was worsened by head movements.
