Q: How
can I get personal advice about how one of your articles relates
to me?
A: As much as we would
like to help, we have more than 400,000 subscribers and cannot give
personal medical advice. In any case, only a doctor or other health-care
professional can evaluate your medical history properly. If you
are a subscriber to the WELLNESS LETTER and have a question you
would like to see answered in our Ask the Expert column, please
go to the password-protected Subscriber's
Corner. The password appears in the current issue of the WELLNESS
LETTER.
Q: How
can I send a letter to the editors to comment on one of the articles
in the WELLNESS LETTER?
A: We welcome feedback
from our readers. You can write
to the editors here. Unfortunately, we can't respond to most
letters personally, but we will pay attention to your comments and
questions.
Q: I
need to talk to someone about my subscription, who do I call?
A: You can contact us
online by going to Subscriber
Services and emailing our subscription department directly.
You can also call our customer service department at 1-800-829-9170.
Our customer service representatives have immediate access to your
subscription records.
Q: How
do I change my mailing address?
A: To change your address,
just fill out the change of address form provided in the Subscriber
Services. You can also call our subscription department directly
at 1-800-829-9170 and speak to one of our customer service representatives.
Q: I
saw an article listed in your Index that I would like to get. How
can I get a copy of that old issue of the WELLNESS LETTER?
A: You can order
back issues by mailing us $3 per issue.
Q: Who
publishes the WELLNESS LETTER?
A: The WELLNESS LETTER
is a product of the University of California at Berkeley's School
of Public Health. The Editorial Board of Advisors in Berkeley has
complete control over the newsletter's content and direction. We
also have an editorial office in New York.
The address in Palm Coast, Florida, is our subscription
records center. The professionals there maintain subscription records
and expedite the distribution of the publication. They have nothing
to do with the content of the newsletter.
Q: How
do I get permission to reprint an article from the WELLNESS LETTER?
A: Send a written request
to our Permissions Department (see below). Please state which article
you want to reprint, along with a copy of the publication in which
the WELLNESS LETTER article will eventually appear. Please be specific
when sending in these requests, including the month in which the
article appears, exact title of article, profile of your company,
intended audience, estimated circulation. We do charge for our articles
and the amount is determined based on factors involving the size
of the article as well as use of the article.
Once we have received your request, you may expect
a response from us within two weeks. When permission is granted,
we will send an agreement letter to you which will include the proper
credit line to use. Please send the requests to:
