Aerobics for Brain Health?

To keep your brain healthy as well as your body, do aerobic exercise. The latest evidence for this was a small study published in Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience, which had sedentary people ages 57 to 75 work out on a treadmill or stationary bike for one hour three times a week.

After 12 weeks, not only did they show cardiovascular improvements, they also scored better on memory tests, compared to baseline and to a group that didn’t exercise. Moreover, special MRI scans showed increased blood flow to parts of the brain linked to cognition, indicating higher neuron activity.
