Reflective Clothing Reality

Wear reflective clothing, tape or other gear when running, walking, or cycling on streets at night, but don’t let it give you a false sense of security.

Studies show that drivers do see and react to such visibility aids, though no research has been done to know if such aids actually prevent injury and death. One effective option: “biomotion markings,” which use reflective material to highlight the body’s motion, such as tape placed on ankles, wrists and other moving joints.
